CHP, Embedded & Multi Fuel Group Operations Engineer
I have known Dave now for over 25 years both as a working colleague as a paramedic at the Mersey Regional Ambulance Service and as a friend. He has an incredible operational profile amongst his achievements, include saving countless people’s lives and dealing with a number of major incidents and he is a role model to any up and coming practitioner. His move into management has been just as good, his achievement’s in delivering patient care through others as a treainer is well and truly acknowledged and documented.
Dave was also courageous when he took the step to leave the safety of the NHS Ambulance service to further his skills and portfolio in the outside market where he did a fantastic job on the support side of the medical industry whilst working for SP Services. He took with him a wealth of experience that gave both the service/support industry that key inside professional advice and recommendations to develop new equipment that met our patient’s needs. When you are working in an industry where seconds do save lives, any improvements gives a massive advantage to the operational paramedics doing their job providing the opportunity for better patient outcome and saving more lives.
Dave’s Emergency service and operational experience is vast, in fact, I would go so far as to say, it would be extremely difficult to find someone similar of that calibre. Dave also provides supports to up and coming practitioners as part of his ongoing training profile and recognised as a key member of the British Red Cross.
Dave will tell you, to do a good job, you need to be on top of your game, that’s including being mentally and physically fit and so, you will often see Dave down at his Tae Kwon Do school where he is a black belt instructor or you will find him out walking, swimming, anything that puts your body to the test.
Dave is a nice man with a good sense of humour and has good family values and, as the saying goes, “ you can count on the fingers on one hand the people who you can call a friend and trust. Dave is the type of person found on that list on a lot of people’s hands.

Managing Director at SP Services (UK) Ltd
Dave is a dedicated and trusted professional who has provided exceptional First Aid at Work training, technical rescue support services and safety advice over the past years. Dave is fully integrated to the business he supports, flexible and supportive to ensure business needs are deliveredI have worked with Dave on a few occasions (as a Paramedic in the Ambulance Service and as Rescue Industrial Paramedic) I can honestly say that Dave is one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. He is very knowledgeable and experienced in his field. Dave Manages his business well and this is testament to the clients he serves. Dave and his team train hard to bring the client the very best that Health & Safety and Paramedical Support has to offer. It is extremely difficult to step out of the comfort zone of the Ambulance Service to heading a team in Industrial environments and this is something he has done for several years. Dave is very much a team player and looks towards improving his skills and that of his team and therefore the service he offers has to improve.
Rescue Technician at Northwest Medical Training Services
I have used Dave's services twice for medical rescue in a power station environment (other colleagues have also used his services) and would highly recommend him. As well as providing medical treatment and confined space rescue services, Dave's main value comes through his attention to detail and friendly advice on how to avoid incidents in the first place! Dave also provided a valuable service to the management team in conducting safety inspections/observations as well as auditing procedures. A real pleasure to work with.
Safety, Health and Environment Manager at Multifuel Energy Limited
Dave Seel is widely-recognsied by ambulance colleagues in NHS services from NWAS to WMAS to LAS as quite simply the most technically-skilled ambulance clinician that many of them have ever had the honour of working alongside. His name has become a by-word for many frontline crews as the embodiment of the 'best' when it comes to the actual job of being an effective and caring paramedic, as is evidenced by his numerous ASI awards for bravery, rescue and clinical knowledge.
Dave is the best person I've every known when it comes to quietly and calmly taking charge in a crisis and as such he is widely respected in the UK and further afield as a skilled rescue expert. He is a man of exceptional integrity - the kind of person everybody wishes they had as one of their best friends or closest workmates.
He runs his medical rescue company the same way he manages his family life and other relationships - with care, focus, honesty, consideration for others and a steely determination to give all he can to others while always doing the best job he can. He also has a wicked sense of humour but knows when and where to use it appropriately. This is a great trait as, in a crisis, it's sometimes the crazy one-liner or quip that keeps everybody focused and together, rather than the barked, tense command!
Dave Seel is seen by many as the model of what a skilled and compassionate ambulance professional should be and, as such, I regularly hold him up to youngsters interesting in joining the ambulance service as an example of what kind of paramedic they should aspire to be.
One of the pleasures of running Ambulance Today is that I know a great many other ambulance clinicians, both in the UK and globally, who are blessed with skill, a sense of compassion and with total dedication to ambulance work and the public they serve. I honesty don't know a single one better than Dave Seel.

Having known Dave for a number of years through his involvement with minor and major outages at Rocksavage Power Station, I would have no hesitation in recommending Dave and the expertise he brings to any industry requiring medical and rescue services or the training of personnel in confined space working, confined space rescue and first aid. Dave is a very personable man and makes training courses fun but at the same expertly delivers a very high standard of comprehensive training.
SAP and Commissioning Operator at J. Murphy & Sons Limited
I’ve had the pleasure of previously working on two outages with Dave and his colleagues and found the manner in which his team conducted themselves throughout the outage to be utterly professional,
As a Health & Safety professional, his team certainly reduced the workload within our HSE department, not only were all aspects of First Aid effectively managed, but benefits were also drawn from a reduced number of emergency procedures requiring to be developed prior to the outage commencing
Dependent on the size of the outage and number of men on site, Dave's team would utilize any spare time accordingly by implementing other procedures including internal training programmes delivered on site, including; Confined Space Training and Fire Watch Training.
During the course of a recent outage his team introduced the pro-active procedure of setting up a medical health screening programme providing the workforce with the opportunity to receive a medical assessment and express any health concerns that needed explaining, such appointments are very difficult to arrange with contractors often working away from home, scores of employees utilized this opportunity and the workforce appreciated the manner in which it was performed which was professional and applied in total confidence.
